tips
- Making When you receive a floral arrangement, check the water level of the vase and fill to the top if necessary. If floral foam (or 'oasis', as florists usually call them) was used, check the water level more frequently in order to ensure proper water level. Since foams take up more space inside the vase, water evaporates more quickly, so make sure to add water daily.
- Display your flower arrangement away from direct light and from excessively hot or cold areas such as air conditioning or heating units.
- If your fresh flowers are experiencing premature wilting of the petals and leaves, cut about an inch from the bottom and place them in very warm water.
- Discard flowers from the arrangement as they expire. This may prolong the life of the remaining flowers, especially if you change the water again and cut the stems. This may also be a good time to rearrange and reshape the arrangement. Not only will you be able to practice your arranging skills, you will help to liven up the display and possibly create a new look!
- For your foliage houseplants, spray the leaves with Pokon Leafshine once a month. This will restore the plant's healthy looking freshness, while it also prevents dust from settling.
